We Answer Your Most Common Questions
Let's address some frequently asked questions we've received over the past few days
We've been getting a lot of questions over the past few days, so we thought we'd answer some of the most common ones.
Can I trust the app with my personal information?
Luvo is a product of Mandeville Digital PTY Ltd, a registered company in South Africa. Sensitive information such as identity documents, proof of address, etc. is stored on our secure servers and is not shared with anyone or accessible by the app. Only a small number of staff members have secure access in order to verify and vet users. This is to ensure that the platform is safe and secure and we can trust one another.
Who is Mandeville Digital PTY Ltd?
Mandeville Digital PTY Ltd is a technology company that builds products. We build our own products, such as Luvo, and custom products for large enterprises and startups. Our founders were involved in some popular projects for companies such as BBC Worldwide, Universal Music Group, GovUK, Sanlam, London Underground, and many more. We have extensive experience in building highly scalable and secure systems. All of us are born and bred in South Africa (although some of us might have spent quite some time abroad, bringing back a lot of experience).
Why is there a lack of tasks in my area?
It is a chicken and egg problem. If we have posters, but no helpers, no work will get done. Similarly, if we have helpers, but no posters, there is no work to do. Our marketing strategy is to focus on organic growth, and encourage everyone to post tasks and help others. Having said that, we are also about to launch targeted campaigns and partnerships to increase the number of tasks in all areas. In short, it has only been a few days and the organic growth has been exceptional. At this rate we should reach critical mass in no time. Stick with us!
Why can't I advertise my services or post 'flyers' on the app?
Luvo is a platform that focuses on tasks, not advertising. We want to keep the platform clean and simple, and not clutter it with non-task related content. We will be launching a new feature soon that will allow you to advertise your services, but this will be done in a way that doesn't clutter the platform.
How do I stay safe?
We moderate all content, tasks and users on the platform to ensure your safety. We constantly monitor for suspicious activity and investigate all reports.
Our User Tiers:
π€ Casual Users
- Can post tasks and help others
- Not vetted but have user ratings
- Good for odd jobs and casual tasks when they have positive ratings
β Trusted Users
- Identity verified
- Proof of address verified
- Verified by our team
β Verified Pro Users
- Identity verified
- Proof of address verified
- Skills vetted by our team
- Highest level of trust
π‘Pro Tip: For peace of mind, choose Trusted or Verified Pro users unless it's a simple task and the Casual User has good ratings.
Safety Features:
- Report suspicious tasks or users
- Quick removal of unsafe content
- Active monitoring system
Why do I need to provide a Selfie or Photo of myself?
When you post a task or apply to a task as a 'Casual User', other users don't have a lot of information about you. A selfie or photo is the least we can ask to provide some level of assurance that you are a real person.
Stay tuned for more updates and ways to get involved!
